8:00 a.m. Community Worship

The "Eight o'clock" service is a favorite among those who wish to begin their Sunday with a worship. Our 8:00 a.m. worship follows in the long tradition in many Episcopal parishes of having a service that allows people to come to church early so they may go play golf or have breakfast with friends or do whatever else their Sunday has in store for them and their families. This service has no music, but there is always communion and it honors the beauty of the traditional worship of the Episcopal Church in a reverent and prayerful way. Even though we take worship seriously at St. Paul's, the "8 o'clock" worshipping community can be quite playful. They've been known to instigate a movement in which everyone sits on one side, or, rather than say "Amen," just hold up signs with "Amen" printed on them. And you thought church was boring.

10:30 a.m. Worship with Music

The "Ten-thirty" service is our largest worship service. It is the favorite among families with children. During the first part of the service, children attend Sunday school downstairs until communion begins, at which time they come up to church to participate with their families. This service has a full choir (except during the summer) and honors all the musical traditions of the church from classical hymns to African spirituals.  In terms of church experience, this gathering is the most diverse worshipping community at St. Paul's. You may hear an "Amen" at any time.  Or you may see some hands raised in praise. One thing is for sure, "there's a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place."
Sunday Nursery Care begins at 10:15 a.m.

6:00 p.m.  Centering Prayer

The spiritual discipline of Centering Prayer is the practice of being present to God. One continues to grow into the knowledge of God's presence just as one grows into other spiritualities like worship, the reading of scripture, sabbath time, leisure, and relationships. So start with short periods of time — five or ten minutes — once or twice daily and increase the time as you are able. Learn more.

11:00 a.m.  Chapel Service

Our Thursday morning celebration is a small, intimate gathering that takes place in our Chapel. There is a short sermon and communion
