About Faith Concepts
The ideas expressed in the Faith Concepts pages, while substantiated by teachings in Anglican Theology, are by no means the only views in the Episcopal Church. Within all Christian denominations there are both conservative and liberal leanings. Even within our own community there are those who differ greatly in their understanding and their claims about those things which seem central to our way of believing. Indeed, one of the hallmarks of the Episcopal Church is its demographic and theological diversity. With that said, central to our way of believing is The Book of Common Prayer. Along with the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, the Prayer Book, as it is often called, is critical to our understanding of the central tenants of Christianity. We would like to refer you to “An Outline of the Faith” as found in the Prayer Book for further introduction to the faith concepts of the Episcopal Church.
